Doutorado em Ci\u00eancias Econ\u00f3micas, com especializa\u00e7\u00e3o em Econometria, \u00e9 tamb\u00e9m mestre em Econometria pela Universidade de Manchester e licenciado em Economia pelo Instituto Superior de Economia e Gest\u00e3o da Universidade de Lisboa. Com uma longa carreira acad\u00e9mica, foi diretor da Faculdade de Economia da UAlg, presidiu ao seu Conselho Cient\u00edfico e ao Conselho Pedag\u00f3gico, tendo ainda desempenhado fun\u00e7\u00f5es em \u00f3rg\u00e3os de decis\u00e3o regionais e nacionais.<\/p>\n<p>A nova dire\u00e7\u00e3o, eleita por unanimidade, integra ainda o Vice-Presidente Paulo Santos (Munic\u00edpio de Faro) e os vogais Hugo Barros (Universidade do Algarve), Ricardo Cal\u00e9 (Munic\u00edpio de Olh\u00e3o), Sandra Oliveira (Munic\u00edpio de Lagos), Pedro Marcelino (ANJE \u2013 Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Nacional de Jovens Empres\u00e1rios) e Miguel Fernandes (Algarve Evolution).<\/p>\n<p>A Assembleia Geral ser\u00e1 presidida por V\u00edtor Aleixo (Munic\u00edpio de Loul\u00e9), contando com Paulo \u00c1guas (Universidade do Algarve), \u00c1lvaro Ara\u00fajo (Munic\u00edpio de Vila Real de Santo Ant\u00f3nio) e Sofia Vairinho (Universidade do Algarve).
